11/ Laceleaf (anthurium)
Laceleaf, or anthurium, is excellent for getting rid of ammonia. Perfect for the kitchen or the bathroom where many cleaning products emit harmful vapours.
12/ Areca palm
The areca palm is a real champion in terms of getting rid of pollutants! It can eliminate between 12 and 18 µg/h or xylene and from 10 to 20 µg/h of toluene, with regular watering of its leaves.
13/ Chinese evergreens (aglaonema)
With all parts of this plant purifying the air (its leaves, but also its stem and roots), the Chinese evergreen absorbs between 5 and 10 µg/h of formaldehyde.
14/ Ivy
As well as being decorative, ivy is a highly effective depollutant: it can absorb numerous pollutants and eliminates almost all benzene within 24 hours.
15/ Transvaal daisy (gerbera)
For those who like to add a little colour to their homes, there is nothing like the transvaal daisy, or gerbera. Long cultivated for its flowers, it is especially recommended for rooms in which people smoke. That said, it doesn’t live as long as many of the other green plants listed.
