Metro, bus, work, in the street or even standing. The Japanese don’t hold back from getting some shut eye to recharge the batteries.

Unlike latin languages, Japanese can be read in any direction.
15/ Public toilets are free and very clean
Free, never out of toilet roll, the public toilets in Japan are known for being the cleanest in the world.
