Waterproof jacket for dogs, soap made of metal, phone condom, eh come again? It sounds like manufacturers no longer know what to invent for consumers and are coming up with more and more wacky ideas. Do you think you could get sucked in by these inventions? Here are 11 ridiculous objects which will, if anything, make you look twice.

1/ Metallic soap

This bar of metallic soap will remove even the most stubborn odors.
Promising to get rid of everything, this smooth little piece of flint will wash away smells of garlic, onion and tobacco.

2/ Penis pump

This pump will make a penis grow 2 to 3 cm in a few months if used for 10 minutes per day. That’s if we believe the manufacturer Doc Johnston Enterprises. Like me, are you also lost for words?

3/ Anti-allergen glasses

What are anti-allergen glasses? Airshields are sunglasses specially made for people with allergens. Attached to an air pump worn at the belt, these glasses have hidden holes which pump out a purifying breeze. Say goodbye to hay fever!

4/ A comb to get rid of bad smells

Hipo, is a Japanese-designed comb. Manufactured by Ikemoto, it claims to do away with bad smells that stick to your hair like cigarette smoke or grilled meat. Thanks to it’s deodorant ribbon of delicate green tea perfumes, you’ll not have to worry about smelly hair again! We’ve really seen it all!

5/ A phone condom

Absolutely nothing to do with making love or phone sex. The phone condom is a bizarre invention by the American Elizabeth Wilkes, which protects you from being contaminated by other peoples bacteria when you are on the phone.

6/ Air cans

Seems like a strange idea to sell air. However the Japanese company Daido Hokusan have started to offer cans of air with up to two minutes of pure oxygen. Could be quite handy to whip out in a staff meeting if one of your colleagues faints…
