9/ Juicero, the “assisted” juicer
In 2013, Juicero released a juicer with clean lines, that looked like something out of a futuristic film. The device was sold with cubes of pre-squeezed fruit and vegetables. Consumers were disappointed and humiliated to find out they could just as easily get the juice out of the sachets by hand. The company suspended sales and bought back the products from their clients.
10/ A range of steaks launched by Donald Trump
In 2007, the then-to-be future American president attempted to branch into the meat selling industry, releasing steaks that were the self-proclaimed best in the world… The market was quick to prove the contrary: the product was abandoned two months later. Well deserved fail.
11/ The Samsung Galaxy Note 7
An explosive failure, we must admit. In 2017, the whole world was talking about this becursed telephone. The problem, among others: the battery had a tendency to overheat and explode, with no less than 2.5 million telephones affected! Product fails taken to a whole new level…
12/ A phone-console
In 2003, perhaps we didn’t have as many games on our phones as we do now. Well at least that was what Nokia hoped, with their “ingenious” idea! The Nokia N-gage was a phone which was also a games console. The company expected a better reception for its new idea, which was abandoned a few short months later.
13/ Yoghurt shampoo
Clairol fearlessly suggested a yoghurt shampoo to its consumers. Well, fail: the product (naturally) didn’t fly.
