6/ Michael Jackson isn’t dead (neither is Hitler)
Apparently Hitler did not commit suicide but actually fled for Brazil so he could live out the rest of his life in peace and actually died in 1984 at the age of 95. Some of Michael Jackson fans and supporters believe he isn’t actually dead but is in fact reincarnated into… Bruno Mars!
7/ The terrorist attacks 11 September 2001
The 9/11 Truth Movement is a group of conspiracy theorists who do not accept that Al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked 4 planes and crashed them into the World Trade Center. They believe the information does not add up and in fact it was an inside job which the American government knew about. Some claim to have heard explosions under the Twin Towers before the crash happened.
8/ The first man to walk on the moon
This is probably the most well known conspiracy theory in the world. Some people still believe that there NASA set up the Apollo space program and then staged the scenes of Neil Armstrong’s first steps on the moon which was transmitted on 21 July 1969 to television scenes around the world. Why do people believe in this theory? It is all to do with the American flag which is flapping in the images of the astronauts. According to conspiracy theorists flags could not flap in the same ways as on Earth seeing as there is not atmosphere on the Moon.
9/ Roswell Affair
At the beginning of July 1947, a UFO crashed near to an American town called Roswell. For those who believe in UFOs, the event proves that an extraterrestrial civilization has visited Earth. The American government stated that the accident was in fact a weather probe which crash landed and then later stated it was a secret probe which aimed to spy on the Soviet’s nuclear activities. However many conspiracy theorists believe these are just cover stories.
10/ The assassination of JFK
The conspiracy theory involves the person responsible for the assassination of JFK. The official version of what happened states that the deadly bullets were fired by Lee Harvey Oswald. However conspiracy theorists do not believe this to be the case. According to them, there were four shots fired and not just three as has been reported. These conspiracy theorists believe that by looking at the images close up, the bullets do not appear to be coming from the direction of the officially incriminated person but in fact several killers standing behind. The FBI would not have ruled out this conspiracy theory. It is clear the public are not told everything!
