10/ Oberlausitz Science Library, Gorlitz, Germany
Oberlausitz Science Library has close to 140,000 volumes making it the biggest library in the region. The magnificent building promotes the transfer of knowledge between Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. This public scientific library is part of the historical and cultural municipal collections of Görlitz.

Beinecke Library of rare books and manuscripts is part of Yale University, in the state of Connecticut. Opened in 1963, it is one of the main patrimonial national libraries in the world thanks to its rare book collection.

12/ Stuttgart Municipal Library, Germany
The Municipal Library of Stuttgart received a prize for being the library of the year in 2013. From 1965 to 2011 the central library was situated n Wilhelms Palace. Giovanni Salucci originally constructed this building constructed between 1834 and 1840 as King Wurtemberg’s residence.
