1/ Hergé is not the name of the cartoonist

Rest assured, Hergé is the author of the cartoons called The Adventures of Tintin. Except this was his pen name and he is in fact a Belgium called Georges Remi, who decided to use his initials but reverse them, RG. Which when spoken with a Belgian accent makes it sound like Hergé.

2/ How to tell the difference between Dupont and Dupond?

These twin brothers who are useless detectives can be told apart by the slight difference in their mustache. The mustache of Dupond is straight whereas the mustache on Dupont has a flick on the outside. The father of Hergé, Alexis Remi, had a twin brother, Lèon Remi. Both had a mustache and dressed similarly, was this a source of inspiration?
