To create a hit tv series requires a good script and money. The more technically challenging the show is, the more expensive it is to make, especially when the series lasts for numerous seasons. The decor, the costumes and the actors are also costly parts to creating a fantastic tv show, but being the most expensive show, doesn’t mean it will be a hit show!

An expensive show to produce in Australia with expensive sets and long editing schedules this show cost $3.9 per episode, which is why it as cancelled after season 1.
15. Lost / Vikings
Lost was expensive to make due to the large cast and expensive location on the island of Hawaii. The series pilot alone cost $14 million.
