Art in the plate!
There are many tricks to make children eat their vegetables, whether starting with small portions, serving them pureed or hiding them inside a pie. Lalah Mohmedi found her artistic talent after making her son’s pancakes look like lions: she transforms healthy dishes into characters from movies, shows or into celebrities! On her Instagram page, Jacob’s Food Diaries, Lalah publishes photos of her works of art -before her son finishes the plate of course!
1/Johnny — Sing (2016)
The young gorilla is made from mashed potatoes, wild rice, aubergine and carrots.
2/ Carl and Ellie — UP (2009)
One of the finest couples in Pixar Studios is made up of chicken pieces with mashed potatoes (colored with a little beetroot), tortillas, noodles and edible flowers.
3/ The mad hatter — Alice in Wonderland (2016)
Incarnated by Johnny Depp, the Mad Hatter is made up of potatoes, carrots, whole patties and aubergines.
4/ Mike, Sully, Randall et Roz — Monsters Inc (2001)
Monstropolis’s big and small monsters are made up of coconut-sticky rice balls with chicken pieces and vegetables. The rice was colored with red cabbage, purple carrots, kale juice and saffron.
5/ Dingo — Mickey Mouse World
Mickey’s best friend is made up of roast chicken, wild rice, mashed potatoes, broccoli and tomatoes.
