10 great tips for clean freaks, to make your life much easier!

Are you one of the people who has a full blown panic attack at the mere thought of seeing a few hairs in the shower? It’s true that the bathroom would ideally always be impeccably clean, even if it’s not always the case…. But we agree, a spotlessly clean sink does give a certain feeling of satisfaction, and if it’s covered in toothpaste stains, shaving hairs or traces of shaving foam, it can be a little off-putting. So just for the clean freaks out there, here are a few great tips.

1/ Use cling film to unblock the toilets

Are your toilets blocked? Not to worry, simply put some clingfilm over the toilet bowl (with the lid up), applying several layers if necessary to seal it fully, and then flush. Press down on the bubble that forms on top with your hands, and you’ll find all the paper has dislodged!

2/ Use a tennis ball to remove stains on the walls

Could your toddler just not resist a little scribble on the bedroom walls? Or has your paint job acquired a few black marks since you were moving furniture clumsily from room to room? Arm yourself with a simple tennis ball, and use it like a rubber eraser to quickly remove any marks.

5/ Make a DIY light beam for your smartphone, which can show up traces of dirt using ultraviolet light

For this one, you have to be fairly obsessed. But it could be fun to try out: with only two markers, you should be able to make your smartphone highlight things with a ‘UV light’. Stick a little transparent sticky tape over the lens of the torch on your phone, just beside the camera lens, and rub the tape with a blue marker. Add another piece of tape and repeat the operation. Finally add three or four extra pieces of tape and repeat the operation, but this time using a red marker. Switch on your phone’s torch and turn off the lights in the toilet -you’ll be able to see all the stains as if you have x-ray vision!
